U.S. President Barack Obama is urging Russians to work with the ed States to tackle the big security and economic problems of our time. In a speech to graduates of an economics school, Mr. Obama made the case for better relations. The president began his day in Moscow by wrapping up talks with Russian leaders. He met for the first time with Russian Prime Minister - and former President - Vladimir Putin who many analysts consider the most powerful man in the country. Their words were cordial. Their tone was polite. We may not end up agreeing on everything, but I think that we can have a tone of mutual respect and consultation that will serve both the American people and the Russian people well," said Mr. Obama. A few hours later, the president shifted focus and took his case for better relations directly to the Russian people. The venue was a graduation ceremony for the New Economic School, which was established in Moscow, after the fall of the Soviet Union, by Americans and Russians eager to provide training in free market theory. Mr. Obama told the graduates that much has changed in the last 20 years. And, he talked about at length about just how the ed States sees the future of relations with its former Cold War adversary. To begin with, let me be clear: America wants a strong, peaceful and prosperous Russia," he said. "This belief is rooted in our respect for the Russian people and a shared history between our nations that goes beyond competition." He said the old Cold War assumption that America and Russia can only exist as antagonists who compete for spheres of influence is wrong. That is why I have called for a "reset" in relations between the ed States and Russia. This must be more than a fresh start between the Kremlin and the White House - (al)though that is important and I have had excellent discussions with both your president and prime minister," said President Obama. "It must be a sustained effort among the American and Russian people to identify mutual interests and to expand dialogue and cooperation that can pave the way to progress." But the president made clear that, in his search for common ground, he is not going to set aside principles that he thinks are important. He talked about human rights and matters of national sovereignty - issues that have created friction with Moscow in the past. Just as all states should have the right to choose their leaders, states must have the right to borders that are secure and to their own foreign policies. That is true for Russia, just as it is true for the ed States," he said. "Any system that cedes those rights will lead to anarchy. That is why this principle must apply to all nations - including Georgia and Ukraine." Russia is vehemently opposed to the notion of NATO membership for the two former Soviet bloc countries. President Obama says he does not seek to impose a security arrangement on any nation. He noted Ukraine and Georgia must still clear many hurdles to be eligible for alliance membership. And, he stressed once again that NATO seeks collaboration with Russia, not confrontation. A faster way of boarding planes could save time and money一种更快速的登机方法可以节约时间和金钱Sep 3rd 2011 | chicago | from the print editionTHE job of the professional astrophysicist is to contemplate the music of the spheres. Given the global nature of modern science, however, today’s astrophysicists often spend just as much time confronting the cacophony of the airport. Now, one of them has devised a way to make that experience a little less tedious. Jason Steffen, from Fermilab, near Chicago, has designed and experimentally tested a faster method of boarding aeroplanes. By his calculation, it could save airlines hundreds of millions of dollars a year. Dr Steffen spends his time thinking about such things as extrasolar planets, dark matter and cosmology. After waiting in a particularly long queue to board a flight, though, he began to harbour an interest in the mechanics of getting people on to planes. In 2008 he wrote a computer simulation to test different methods. Using a numerical technique familiar to him from his day job, he was able to find what looked like the best. He has put his answer to the test, and the results have just been submitted for publication to the Journal of Air Transport Management. According to Dr Steffen, two things bog down the boarding process. The first is that passengers are often forced to wait in the aisle while those ahead of them stow their luggage and then get out of the way. The second is that passengers aly seated in aisle or middle seats often have to get up and move into the aisle to let others take seats nearer the window. Dr Steffen’s proposal minimises the former type of disturbance and eliminates the latter. It just knocks yourself out, never see an animated movie like this computer generated movie. The story was incredibly moving. The world is the very first release from a small unconventional flim studio called Pixar with Steve Jobs at the hell. We just get stuck in to the beauty and sort of explodes. For the first time, computer characters are warm, cuddly, reliable. These were animated characters, but they seemed like they belong in our family or that we have them in our house. Its the big comeback Steve Jobs has been waiting for. But it has taken Jobs and Pixar nearly ten years to get this bar, and it almost didnt happen at all. After he got the boot in 1985, he sold all his apple shares but one, he had millions of dollars buring a pocket. Any one but Jobs might have retired. 201111/161797Israeli Soldiers Drag Jewish Settlers From House in Hebron以军强制驱逐西岸非法犹太定居者Israeli forces have evicted scores of Jewish settlers who had refused court orders to leave a house in the West Bank town of Hebron. The violence Thursday left about 20 people injured and has raised concerns of wider protests by Jewish settlers. Television images of soldiers dragging Jewish settlers - some kicking, punching, and screaming - from the disputed building in Hebron brought back images for Israelis who remember Israel's 2005 withdrawal of Jewish residents from the Gaza Strip. Israel's high court two weeks ago ordered the settlers to move out of the dwelling. Tensions over the eviction orders sparked clashes between Jews and Palestinians in the town in the last few days. Jewish residents prepared for a confrontation. The standoff came Thursday when Israeli security forces went into the house, using batons and tear gas. Some residents left voluntarily, while others had to be dragged out. None were arrested. The violence has raised concerns among Israeli leaders who fear that settlers' resistance to leave their homes in disputed areas may jeopardize the peace process. The presence of Jewish settlements in the Palestinian territories is one of the main sticking points in peace negotiations. After the eviction Thursday in Hebron, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak told reporters the ability of the state to impose law and order upon its citizens was put to the test. He said there is no alternative for him but to maintain order under any circumstances. He said the internal violence that Israel has seen in the last few days puts Israel very close to "complete anarchy." Hebron has long been the scene of tension between Jews and Palestinians. About 700 Jewish people live in fortified, separate neighborhoods in the center of the town. They are surrounded by nearly 200,000 Palestinian residents. Palestinian officials on Thursday welcomed the eviction in Hebron, but called on Israel to do more and remove all Jewish residents from the city. Jewish settlers in other parts of the West Bank have vowed to resist any further evictions. On Thursday, scores of demonstrators temporarily blocked one of the main highways into Jerusalem in protest of the eviction in Hebron.

In particular, he wants collaboration with opposition parties mostly bent on ousting him. “Many ways of doing things in this country have come to the end of the road,” he said on April 11th. “To rebuild this country, we need a new mindset. I hope for—and expect—a new direction.” He seems unlikely to get it. The quake and tsunami that devastated north-eastern Japan, and the nuclear disaster that followed, have disrupted the economy, with power shortages and stricken factories. Ordinary Japanese have cut back on inessential spending, in a mood of sacrificial restraint. Much has changed. Yet one constant remains: petty political bickering. As the government has attempted to deal with the mess, the opposition Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has picked on minor gaffes to justify exaggerated displays of outrage. Mr Kan’s offer to the LDP’s leader, Sadakazu Tanigaki, to form a “grand coalition” with his Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) was rebuffed. The opposition thinks Mr Kan is flailing and his prime ministership, which was in trouble well before the earthquake, is in danger. In opinion polls, Mr Kan’s personal support has increased slightly since then, but around two-thirds of voters are disappointed with the government’s handling of the crisis, particularly at the Fukushima nuclear plant. On April 12th the nuclear accident there was upgraded to level seven, the highest rating on an international scale of severity. That places it on a par with the Chernobyl disaster 25 years ago this month (though the radiation released at Fukushima is only a tenth of Chernobyl’s, and nobody has died from it yet). 201104/134088America: Living Beyond Our Means Many homeowners knew they could not afford their houses. Now for the past decades, more Americans are/ never became homeowners for the first time. Many of them now find out couldn’t handle their responsibility of maintaining those homes and it turns out they may have known that going in as well. Investment // Warren Buffet offered this theory about how millions of Americans got in over their heads. Most people have/has fired their own home and I know somebody makes it very eased for you to do it by saying you don’t really have to put up any money or you know, we will give you 100 percent mortgage, you are gonna do it.Um, everybody looks for their American dream and they do their best to try to get back that dream and I know, for us, we thought we were gonna be ok.Today, Carrie and Mary Jamberb are far from ok. They are facing foreclosure on their dream home in New Jersey. Did you feel that you were getting in over your head? They can’t grab you hand and force you to sign in blind. (No, I don’t think it’s our fault.) If they really want to give you a mortgage, you’ll find someone to give you a mortgage. So just who is to blame for this on-going economic crisis, Walt Street or Main Street?I don’t feel it’s necessary to try to bail, to have to bail them out. They should be taken care of us, the people that they want. (Not everyone agree.) I love my home to foreclosure. I didn’t go to the government and go “Hey, listen. I am losing my home. I think you guys should bill me up. (L took out a loan foe a home she couldn’t afford and she knew it.) There was a little voice, little // voice going “don’t do this”. They value that money to high for value. I went ahead and did it anyway.Like many victims of the mortgage crisis, L do/does agree on one important point. (And have you told you son that there’s a chance that he may not be living in the place he’s been living in half his life.) I made a promise to my kids and they right now have a place to live in. But, how much longer? I want to be, get our ourselves back on our feet. We won’t be in this, uh, this situation or predigment ever again.Nearly 400,000 Americans facing foreclosure will give lifeline after countrywide financial reached an 8 billion-dollar settlement with 11 states to help those home owners to rework their mortgages. You know, there are so many more suffering. So, interesting when she said that Jimmies // a voice in my head said “don’t do it, don’t’ do it.”…200810/53415固原市男科专科医院We are here in Yellowstone National Park to follow some grey wolves and observe the deadly brilliance of the pack. They’ve learned to cooperate, hunting their prey with many acting as one pack. This mother grizzly knows how to protect its cub and itself. Stand your ground. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t let the grey wolves run you down. Grizzly mum stands up to the grey wolves. And eventually, they lose interest. Stand up, hold your ground. Wolves know that large prey can be dangerous if they fight back. What the wolves want is to get their prey on the run. Like, for example this herd of elk. Now the wolves can fan out over the herd, waiting for an old or sick or just unlucky elk to make a wrong move. The alpha male leads the hunt. He bides his time, directing his troops. And eventually, one elk stumbles. The hungry wolves quickly surround their faltering victim. They swarm in forthe kill, and then, the meal. Wolves are a vital part of a healthy Yellowstone echo-system. They filter out sick and weak animals in the herds and helpscavengers survive but providing leftovers from their hunts. This coyote however is not a scavenger but also a competitor, who's been interfering with the kills of the pack. So once again, the wolves use cooperation to guard their turf and drive out the intruder. 1. alpha/beta/omega male or female:In the power hierarchy, the alpha male or alpha female is the individual in the community to whom the others follow and defer. The beta male or female is the contender, subservient to the alpha male or female, but only after testing. The omega refer to member at the bottom of the social hierarchy that is subservient to all members. 2. bide one's time:To await an opportunity; wait patiently until your chance comes. 3. scavenger:An animal, such as a bird or insect, that feeds on dead or decaying matter.200811/54876隆德县男科医院在那儿
